Arrivederci, Milan!

Two nights wasn't enough for this magnificent city! The Duomo was beyond words!  We made to to the top by the stairs and looked down on Milan! The  church of skulls, San Bernadino alle Ossa, was incredible- very moving. The fort, Castello Sforzesco, and the arch, Arco Della Pace were amazing. Da Vinci's Last Supper was beautiful. We loved the Double Decker bus going through the gorgeous neighborhoods! I am obsessed with the balconies and gardens! So much delicious food, wine, the works!  Just watching the Italians that live here was awesome! I'm out of adjectives and time! We are now on a fast train to Florence! Enjoying our snack of wine, crackers, prosciutto, cheese and honey. What a way to travel! It's only day 2 and we are in heaven! 

Milan, Our First Night

A little rain couldn't keep us from enjoying our first night in Milan in the Navigili area. Several canals converge there and there are bars, restaurants, and bakeries lining the canals. We had an awesome dinner, drinks afterwards, and finished with canolies!

The Countdown Begins

     This summer marks mine and John's  30th wedding anniversary!  We have talked about a trip to Italy our entire married life.  Well, now it's here! To make it even more amazing, we are going with our dear friends Barb, Mike, Sabrina and Jim.  We simply cannot wait!
     Because of my failing memory, I am going to attempt to blog our adventures.  I'm not sure how often I will have time to write or even have internet service, but I hope to capture the most memorable places we go.  I don't want to forget a thing, so if nothing else, I might just list instead of blog. Hopefully I can figure out how to post "just a few" pictures.  Everyone knows I'll take a million, and I don't want to break the internet!
